With more than half of the year behind us, and many international as well as local guests already booking their five-star December getaways with us, it is safe to say that 2017 has been a fruitful, exciting and whirlwind year for Fairlawns Boutique Hotel and Spa.
Fairlawns have completely redefined the face of Boutique Hotel living in Africa. This is evident in the numerous internal and external changes and developments made during 2016/2017, with many more developments on the horizon.
With our first official Newsletter, we wish to take you on an exciting journey – one which speaks of the new winds of change that have been blowing across our beautiful and tranquil property, and we believe it will excite you as much as it has excited us.
Your valued feedback will be appreciated and we look forward to host you at the Fairlawns Boutique Hotel & Spa in the near future.
FBH REDEFINED SUITES WITH AN AFRICAN INFLUENCE
With its 12 newly refurbished Courtyard Suites, including two inspired by the art and culture of North and West Africa, Fairlawns has given new life to our historic design. The Morocco and Burkina Faso-inspired suites are perfect for the discerning traveler looking to be transported to a contemporary "African destination", as it brings quintessential Africa to the forefront. In collaboration with Amatuli House, Grand Chateau boasts a collection of African art from local artists with artifacts from all over Africa.
RE-IMAGINED CONFERENCE SPACES
Fairlawns’ Conference Centre has been fitted with the latest conferencing technology, while more relaxed furnishings, such as plush armchairs have been introduced to the space. The majority of the furniture is new, although some key items have been stylishly upcycled, perfectly combining old with new. The landing area has also been refurbished, making for a comfortable and relaxing experience for delegates during breaks. Newly renovated spaces include our private dining room “Into the Woods”, which overlooks the rolling green lawns, which can comfortably accommodate a group of 12 guests. The adjacent Business Suite boardroom is perfect for small meetings comprising not more than 10 delegates.
Perfect for extended family holidays, corporate getaways, romantic escapes or even a honeymoon, Fairlawns’ Villa Moji, a stand-alone villa, is only accessible through a private entrance and is surrounded by lush green gardens. Decorated according to an overarching theme dubbed “Afro Sushi”, which is best described as a fusion between African artefacts and Asian pieces imported from Bali, Villa Moji is a feast for the senses. Additional family suites on offer includes our newly renovated Maison Spa Suite (previously Presidential Spa Suite) which comprises two en-suite bedrooms, formal lounge and dining room, kitchen, study and a spa room to enjoy private treatments. The latest addition to the Fairlawns offering is the beautiful Tree House Studio family suite, named for its positioning in the treetop canopy. It comprises two en-suite bedrooms, state-of-the-art kitchen, lounge and dining room. The Tree House Studio is ideally suited to longer family stays.
